The recent blasts in Delhi, the arrests, the encounters, SIMI, POTA...one thing that jumps out at me is somehow terrorism has become synonymous with muslims. Why so?
Isn’t what Bajrang Dal does any less? The killings and abduction in Northeast is called insurgency, and in Bihar it is a Naxalite movement, but isn’t all these, slices of the same pie? Then why is the word terrorism associated only with muslims?
After the Bangalore blasts a muslim techie was fired on the flimsy excuse that something in his resume did not match. Something which had been overlooked at the time of his recruitment suddenly became so important.
Is this the way we want to go? Do we want our children to grow up in this environment of mistrust? Terrorists do not belong to any one community. Let us not paint everyone with the same brush. Let us not fuel this feeling of mistrust. We will only end up harming ourselves.
Here’s hoping that we will be able to mend bridges and open our minds to include all peace loving people.

My informed and yet naive friend take a real good look around the world. Almost any and every trouble spot around the world has a Muslim angle to it. Take a real good look. Why is that so? Seven out of every ten trouble maker around the world is a Muslim. Do tell me why?

1.All the others you have mentioned...can you remember any of them doing series of bomb blasts across all major Indian cities?
2.All muslims are not terrorists. But how can you figure out unless you cross check? Should we always show our goodwill and wait to get hit?
3.Pan Islamic terrorism is all the more dangerous because it is based dogma than any sane logic. All other insurgents, have certain socio political demands however exaggerated they might be. But LeT, SIMI, JeM, Al Qaida etc. don’t really have any valid reason. Do you think they’ll stop if VHP is disbanded? They are brainwashed to harm India till death and are funded by foreign powers.
4. If you think Muslims are exploited in India than you are totally mislead by the pseudo secular media. This is a secular nation that spends huge money for haj pilgrims (I’m sure no other non islamic country does so). This is the nation where people protest conviction of proven terrorists just not to hurt muslim sentiments. It is a nation where justice takes 20 years just to give the accused all the chances of self defense.

Progressive muslim populace has suffered a lot in this country. More because of their own regressive brethren. And they have not been able to take a proactive role against terrorism. They should come out openly and make sure that none of their neighbours or relatives get brainwashed.

It is true that muslim angle is present in many terrorist activities, but at every place it is for some different reason. You cannot label everyone of them right from our former presidents upto a common labourer in a street as terrorist. Pathans and Zaheer Khans are cheered in the cricket field to make India win but just after the match do they become terrorists? I feel the rhyme-writers need to come out of their mental cocoons and watch the world with an open mind.

You need to be practical. No one is blaming the people you have mentioned. But can’t you see that whatever is happening is a part of huge international plan. They are getting funded by foreign countries and the efforts to destabilize the country is going on.
We have suffered throughout the years for being too mild. I’m sure no terrorist have faced capital punishment in this country despite the long list of such events. Certain tough measures are necessary to counter those bigots. Precautionary measures have to be taken. Would we be sitting ducks just because some people would not like it?

All what you have said is true; we cannot be sitting ducks to the plans of intenational terrorists.What I mean is that while many, rather majority of terrorists on the international level are muslims because of the organizations fielding them, not all muslims are terrorists. And a terrorist is first a killer then a loyalist to his cause which then no longer remains benign. And any other organization or individual indulging in such killings is terrorist, whether on a local level or international.

Terrorism means Muslim because from Kosovo to Kashmir, from Philippines to Somalia, from Chechnya to Bali, all terror activities are carried out by Muslims. The senseless serial blasts in the Indian cities are not carried out by other religious groups but Muslims. Muslims are inherently violence loving people.

excellent poem. is it ur creation? As far as the names of the terrorists are concerned....agreed they are all muslims, but does that make all muslims terrorists? why don’t we call the people of the North-East terrorists? there is an equal amount of killings going on there.
