Kosani - "A small hamlet beyond Nainitaal"

India :

All of us have heard of Nainitaal. A beautiful hillstation in Uttrakhand surrounded by lakes. But just a few hours journey away is a small hamlet called Kosani. The majestic view of the entire mountain range from this place is so awe-inspiring, that for a few moments one is speechless.
Kosani -

The awesomeness of the “Trishul Parbat”, so named as it is shaped like a 3, makes one feel HIS presence. Also available is a glimpse of “Nanda Devi” peak.
Kosani -

There are very few hotels in Kosani(thus it still retains it’s charm and is not commercialised like the more popular hillstations). There is not much to do except chill out and go out for walks up and down the mountain side. There is a small shawl factory a few kms. down the main road where one can get beautiful hand woven shawls at dicounted price. Handknitted caps, mufflers and socks are also available.
Kosani -

At sunset the view becomes even more amazing as the peaks become aglow with the myriad colours of the sun. One can see the peaks slowly changing colours, from a fiery orange to hazy purple.
Kosani -

A beautiful restaurant, in cottage style. Has attentive staff and an unmatched view.
Kosani -

Kosani is a great place to unwind and rejuvenate. From there one can visit “Baijnath”, Ranikhet, Munsiari(from here there is a trek, which follows the old silk route). All in all a definite dekko for all travel enthusiasts.
