E-mailWe all have heard this very famous saying “behind every successful man here is a woman”. But what about the successful woman? I feel behind her is a man who said “don’t do it.” This is specially true if the woman has been a housewife for a long time.
I am not saying that the men folk are not encouraging, they encourage but with such a condescending attitude. They are sure that the women will not be able to do it.
This is more so if the women wants to do some kind of home based business, you know like knitting, stitching, designing etc.
A friend of mine after 5 years of marriage cleared the bank PO exam and started working, her husband was extremely upset... so finally she asked “why did you let me give that exam? You knew I was studing for it, I did ask you.” The husband replied “I never thought you would clear it”.
Believe me, this article is not about male bashing, I love my husband and son. It’s just that some times this condescending attitude rankles. What say ladies?

I suppose it somehow gets interpreted by men as being a sigh of women’s general incompetence outside the home!!
Somehow they start to feel that if the ladies don’t work in an office it must be because they cant!!
Its a sick situation but thats how it is and its true for couples from all walks of life!!
